  1. Dave, nothing to do with the book (which looks excellent by the way), but just in case you're in Leeds and free next Saturday. I'm DaddyPig when I'm on The Guardian website, mainly Readers Recommend. I think you were at Leeds Poly with Ant and Pink Peg Slax ? The Slax have had a middle-age reunion, and I've booked them to play my 50th birthday party next weekend; and Rocking Mitch's band are travelling up to play it too. Just being sociable in the name of rock'n'roll, drop me a line if you fancy coming along - tim.fraserbear@metronet.co.uk.

  3. Cheers for that, I will indeed say hello to Ant from you. I have a Waterstones voucher for my birthday, and your book plus the Wilko Johnson autobiography are top of the list if no-one else gives them to me ! Good luck with both baby and book.

  4. I've just finished reading the book and about to start recommending it to a lot of people. Thanks for a great story that needed telling, very well told. I'll try to get people to buy it rather than borrow my copy !

  5. thanks Tim! Feel free to review on Waterstones' site :-) Did you get the Wilko Johnson book?

Good idea - hardbacks best kept mint anyway, paperbacks more amenable to being handed around

  6. I've not got the (other) Wilko book yet, Waterstones don't have 'a relationship with that publisher', and those tax-dodging fiends at Amazon haven't got it in yet. Anyway, I've now launched my reviewing career on both their websites...
